PowerBI Apps 4/5

In posts 1, 2, and 3 we mainly covered what Apps are how to create, manage, and secure them from an app designer prospective. As a business user consuming the app – what are the benefits for us?

The app is place where all my reporting shows up in a neatly organized space that is easy to navigate and easy to find answers to my business questions. What’s nice is that I can view this information both on my PC and mobile phone. Any time the designers update the app – I automatically get the updates and don’t have to go somewhere new. I also don’t need to remember the name of a bunch of different reports or dashboards, the just show up in my app along the navigation pane. The app authors handle the data refreshes in the background, so I don’t have to do any manual steps to see the latest information.
